Peggy (Mohr) Christiansen's brother Sam passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 11, 2010.

Samuel Mohr
BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Samuel A. Mohr, 51, Bronxville, N.Y
Sam was born in Defiance, Ohio, on Oct. 19, 1958, to John J. and Joyce (Marckel) Mohr, who survive in Defiance. Sam also leaves behind his loving wife, Lisa; and his beloved children, Anna, 20, and Mary, 19, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Katherine, 13, and Samuel, 12, both at home in Bronxville. Sam will also be deeply grieved by his sisters, Michelle (Rick) DeWine of Warwick, R.I., and Peggy (David) Christiansen, Fernandina Beach, Fla.; and his brother, James J. Mohr, MD, Delaware, Ohio, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Sam spent his childhood in Defiance, graduating from Defiance High School in 1977. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1981, received his law degree from William and Mary School of Law, Williamsburg, Va., in 1984, and his masters of law (LLM) in taxation, also from William and Mary in 1985. Sam's distinguished career included the law firms of Hunton & William in Richmond, Va.; Jones, Day in Cleveland, Ohio; and for the past 19 years at Ernst & Young. He was promoted to partner at Ernst & Young in 1994, and had worked at their offices in Cleveland, Atlanta and most recently in New York City.
Calling hours will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2010, at McGrath Funeral Home, 20 Cedar Street, and the funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the Church of Saint Joseph, 15 Cedar Street, Bronxville, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to the Community Fund of Bronxville-Eastchester-Tuckahow, 15 Park Place, Bronxville, N.Y. 10708; the Bronxville School Foundation, 177 Pondfield Road, Bronxville, N.Y. 10708; or to a charity of the donor's choice
